Latest travel joy from Petal and me.

Found a new and most welcome stay place for me and my girl while we attempt to navigate these vast Australian distances – just to keep in touch with my human loved ones.

Latest find is a pet friendly motel, yes motel, in Narrandera, NSW.  Having been let down by Air BnB, my DD (darling daughter) suggested I go to another website, and voila, paydirt!

So I’m going to give this place a big time plug and share some history of this interesting NSW township.

Blackfella history from same: Home of the local Narrungderah clan, part of the Wiradjuri nation, suffered from white settlement, diseases and topped off by the massacre of the remainder of the Narrungderah clan by a small group of European settlers near what is now referred to as Massacre, or Murdering Island, and is known to have left only one survivor.
