The Clinton–Lewinsky scandal was a United States political sex scandal that involved 49-year-old President Bill Clinton and 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The sexual relationship took place between 1995 and 1997 and came to light in 1998.
For political aficionados this 7 part series is worth a watch. As always, one needs to slow down the judgement and ask the questions. I found the uninformed condemnation of a virtually media-gagged Lewinsky at the time, mind boggling! Likewise I was boggled by the double standard represented by those who refused to judge Clinton in the same way, preferring to defer to his political preference rather than condemn him on the basis of his sexual peccadillos.
We could not hear from Lewinsky at the time, but finally being able to listen to her in this doco, she is not the woman the press of time portrayed her to be.
