Hell yes!  Politicians break promises all the time.  And this is a really GOOD one to break!

Covid proved one thing – that we can lift people out of poverty and if we can raise newstart to $76 a day and give hope to job seekers, for example – what better justification than that?

The tax cuts are not justifiable for those who do not struggle to meet everyday expenses.
